Donald Trump has been sentenced as a felon by Judge Juan Merchan for falsifying business records related to hush money paid to Stormy Daniels, but was given an unconditional discharge, avoiding jail time. This makes Trump the first former U.S. President to be criminally convicted by a court. The sentencing comes 10 days before his inauguration and has been criticized as a "pathetic, unAmerican Witch Hunt" by Trump himself.
