💨 Abstract
A magnitude 3.2 earthquake occurred in Nepal on May 3, 2025, according to the National Center for Seismology. The shallow depth of the quake makes it susceptible to aftershocks and causes potential damage due to stronger ground shaking. Nepal's high seismic activity is attributed to its position on the convergent boundary of the Indian and Eurasian tectonic plates and being in a subduction zone.
