💨 Abstract
The European Union expanded its sanctions against Venezuela to include 15 more members of the National Electoral Council, the judiciary, and security forces. A total of 69 individuals are now under EU sanctions, with an asset freeze and travel ban to the EU. President Maduro and his government continue to reject sanctions from the US and others, labeling them as illegitimate "economic war" measures.
