💨 Abstract

The European Union has extended sanctions against 21 Nicaraguan officials, including Vice President Rosario Murillo and President Daniel Ortega's children, for another year. The sanctions prohibit travel through EU countries and freeze assets held in European banks. Three Nicaraguan entities are also sanctioned, with EU citizens and companies barred from financing them.
