đź’¨ Abstract
European leaders, including Denmark, France, Britain, Germany, Italy, Poland, and Spain, issued a joint statement affirming that Greenland belongs to its people and that decisions about its future should be made by Denmark and Greenland alone. This comes in response to U.S. President Donald Trump's repeated interest in acquiring the Arctic island. The leaders emphasized the importance of collective security in the Arctic through NATO.
