💨 Abstract
A ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas is due to begin on Sunday, with Israel releasing nearly 2,000 Palestinians from its jails in exchange for freeing 33 Israeli hostages over six weeks. The hostages include women, children, and elderly captives. The first phase of the ceasefire will also see the Israeli army pull back from some positions in Gaza and allow displaced Palestinians to return.
