Quincy Jones, a renowned music icon, passed away on Monday. His friend Thierry Amsallem remembered the all-night jam sessions they had at the Montreux Jazz Festival, where musicians would join Jones in his chalet to continue playing after the official gigs. Amsallem described Jones as coming from another planet, and the music produced during these sessions as electric.
