💨 Abstract

A suspected gang leader, known as "Tiger," escaped from South African police custody after being rescued from an illegal gold mine where 78 miners died last week. The Lesotho national was supposed to be directly escorted to a police station, but was found missing during a routine inspection. Preliminary investigations suggest he was let go between Shaft 11 and the police station.
