💨 Abstract

A phased ceasefire deal has been reached between Israel and Hamas after 15 months of conflict, the US and Qatar announced on Wednesday. The deal includes a gradual withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza, release of hostages held by Hamas in exchange for Palestinian prisoners, and a six-week initial ceasefire period. The ceasefire is set to begin on Sunday.
