šØ Abstract
Georgia's election commission confirmed the ruling party's victory in the Oct. 26 parliamentary election, despite opposition protests and allegations of election fraud. The pro-Russian Georgian Dream party won 53.9% of the vote, securing 89 seats in the 150-seat parliament. The meeting was disrupted by an opposition politician throwing paint at the commission chairman, resulting in an eye injury.
