In Germany, wage negotiations for 2.5 million public sector workers have started. Trade unions are seeking an 8% wage increase, including a monthly minimum raise of 350 euros, while the government has deemed this demand "very high." The unions also want three extra days off for all employees, four days off for union members, overtime bonuses for part-time staff, and more money for trainees.
