💨 Abstract

Harvard University's endowment is reportedly in advanced talks to sell $1 billion worth of private equity fund interests amid financial uncertainty and President Trump's threats to cut federal funding. Trump has threatened to withhold funds over campus protests against Israel, climate initiatives, transgender policies, and diversity, equity, and inclusion programs. Harvard Management Company is being advised by Jefferies Financial Group to sell the portfolio to Lexington Partners. The deal terms are not final and are subject to change.
