💨 Abstract

A train collision near Machu Picchu resulted in one fatality and 40 injuries. The incident involved trains from Inca Rail S.A. and PeruRail S.A., which primarily transport tourists. About 20 people sustained serious injuries, and foreign tourists were among the injured. The collision caused significant damage to the locomotives and scattered debris. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
