💨 Abstract

Hurricane Helene, now a Category 3 storm with 80 mph winds, is churning in the eastern Gulf of Mexico and expected to bring life-threatening storm surge to Florida's coastline. Over 40 million people are under hurricane and tropical storm warnings, and numerous evacuations and school closures have been ordered along Florida's Gulf coast.
