Since May, Greek shipping companies have received menacing emails from Yemen's Iranian-backed Houthi militia, warning of attacks on vessels that violate a Houthi-imposed transit ban by docking at Israeli ports. The emails threatened sanctions for entire fleets and marked a new phase in Houthi tactics, targeting Greek merchant ships with little connection to Israel.
