💨 Abstract

Hurricane Milton struck Florida, causing more than a dozen tornadoes, destroying homes, and killing at least four people. The storm did not trigger the feared catastrophic surge of seawater. Tampa Bay seemed to escape the worst, with only significant damage reported. The four deaths were in St. Lucie County, and 45 tornadoes were reported in total.
