💨 Abstract
Arturo Suárez, a singer, and Darwin Hernandez, a barber, returned to Venezuela after months of detention in El Salvador. They were among Venezuelans deported from the U.S. under the Alien Enemies Act, accused of gang ties. Upon return, they were greeted by emotional families. Both men reported abuse in prison and welcomed investigations into alleged mistreatment. A prisoner exchange with Venezuela is ongoing, reportedly involving 80 prisoners, including opposition politicians.
