💨 Abstract
Taiwan's Presidential Office held its first tabletop exercise simulating a military escalation with China, involving central and local government agencies and civil groups. The 3-hour war game, led by Vice President Hsiao Bi-khim and National Security Council Secretary-general Joseph Wu, aimed to test response readiness in scenarios of China's grey-zone warfare and potential conflict. The exercise comes amid increased Chinese military threats against Taiwan, which Beijing claims as its own.
