Incumbent president Zoran Milanovic, the opposition Socialist Democrats' candidate, is projected to win the first round of Croatia's presidential election with 50.1% support, ahead of Dragan Primorac, the ruling party's candidate, with 22.3%. The election will proceed to a second round on Jan. 12 if no candidate secures a majority.
