In response to the Pahalgam terror attack, India has banned Pakistani ships from visiting any of its ports. Similarly, Indian ships are prohibited from visiting Pakistani ports. This decision was taken under the Merchant Shipping Act, 1958, to ensure safety of Indian assets, cargo, and connected infrastructure.
