💨 Abstract
India announced the withdrawal of a transshipment facility to Bangladesh due to logistical challenges and congestion at Indian ports and airports. The facility was causing delays and higher costs for Indian exports, creating backlogs. The withdrawal will not impact Bangladesh exports to Nepal or Bhutan transiting through Indian territory. The decision comes after a Bangladeshi delegation visited India to explore the possibilities of transhipment of Bangladeshi cargo through Indian ports.
