Iran has called for an urgent meeting of the United Nations Security Council to address Israel's actions in Lebanon and the region, following the killing of Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah. Iran's U.N. ambassador warned against attacks on Iranian diplomatic premises, threatening to exercise its rights under international law to defend itself if necessary.
