Storm Eowyn hit Ireland and Northern Ireland on Friday with record-breaking winds, causing power outages for almost one-third of homes and businesses, flight cancellations, and school and public transport closures. The storm, one of the most dangerous faced by officials, saw a gust of 182 kph (113 mph) in County Galway, Ireland.
