In Gaza, at least 18 people were killed in Israeli military strikes overnight, according to Palestinian medics. The raid, now in its fifth day, is aimed at preventing Hamas fighters from attacking and regrouping. Israeli forces have issued evacuation orders to residents of Jabalia and nearby areas, but officials say there are no safe places to flee to in the Gaza Strip.
