💨 Abstract

An Israeli airstrike in Beirut killed a senior Hezbollah commander, Ibrahim Qubaisi, on Tuesday, escalating tensions between Israel and the Lebanese militant group. Cross-border rocket attacks from both sides have raised fears of a full-blown war in the Middle East. Israel's military conducted "extensive strikes" on Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon, including weapons storage facilities and rocket launchers.
