Israel evacuated its soccer fans from the Netherlands after antisemitic attacks in Amsterdam following a match between Maccabi Tel Aviv and Ajax Amsterdam. Dutch police detained 57 suspects, and Israeli officials compared the violence to European pogroms. Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof called the attacks "completely unacceptable" and promised to identify and prosecute the perpetrators.
