💨 Abstract

Israel has escalated strikes on Lebanon, targeting the cities of Tripoli and Beirut's suburbs, and making ground incursions into southern Lebanon. A Hamas official, his wife, and two children were killed in a strike on Tripoli. Fighting with Hezbollah, Lebanon's Iran-backed armed group, has been ongoing for over a year, parallel to Israel's war in Gaza against Hamas.
