Israel's military operation in the Gaza Strip resulted in at least 33 Palestinian deaths, including a rescue worker, and destruction of homes and a hospital, according to health officials. The Israeli forces focused on the northern edge of the territory, laying siege to three major towns and causing widespread displacement. The attacks have killed nearly 44,000 people and displaced the majority of the population since last October.
