💨 Abstract
Italian journalist Cecilia Sala was freed by Iran and returned home after three weeks of detention in Tehran. Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani welcomed Sala in Rome. Sala was accused of violating Iranian laws and was held in solitary confinement in Evin prison. Her release was attributed to intense work on diplomatic and intelligence channels.
