A U.S. World War Two bomb was found and exploded near the runway of Miyazaki Airport in southwest Japan, causing flight cancellations. The explosion created a crater and was discovered by a bomb disposal team. No injuries were reported and the airport expects to reopen by Thursday morning. The airport has previously found unexploded bombs, as such remnants are still common across Japan, 79 years after the war.
