Japan plans to hold a Quad foreign ministers meeting next week, following the swearing-in ceremony of US President-elect Donald Trump. The meeting is expected to discuss the importance of maintaining and strengthening cooperation among the four nations (US, Australia, India, Japan) to ensure a free and open Indo-Pacific. Japan's Foreign Minister Iwaya Takeshi will attend the swearing-in ceremony and meet his US counterpart.
