Lebanon's caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati called for an immediate ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah, stating that over 1.2 million people in Lebanon have been displaced due to Israeli attacks. He emphasized that a diplomatic end to the escalating conflict would benefit all parties involved. Mikati also expressed his intention to deploy 10,000 Lebanese army troops in the south if a ceasefire is reached.
