Lebanon's caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati visited Syria for the first time in 15 years, where he met with Syria's de facto leader Ahmed al-Sharaa. They agreed to cooperate in securing land borders, delineating both land and sea borders, and addressing issues such as smuggling and Syrian deposits in Lebanese banks. Both countries will establish committees to address these matters and provide support.
