💨 Abstract
Libya's eastern-based parliament has approved a national reconciliation and transitional justice law aimed at reunifying the country after a decade of factional conflict. The House of Representatives passed the legislation in Benghazi, but implementing it could be challenging due to the country's division since a 2014 civil war. The UN has repeatedly called for an inclusive, rights-based transitional justice process in Libya.
