💨 Abstract
Two major wildfires in Los Angeles, the Palisades Fire and the Eaton Fire, are still burning uncontained but have slowed due to a brief respite from strong winds. These fires are the most destructive in Los Angeles history, consuming nearly 31,000 acres and causing at least five deaths, thousands of destroyed homes, and evacuation orders for nearly 180,000 people.
