💨 Abstract
A magnitude 5.7 earthquake occurred near Wellington, New Zealand, at 5:08 a.m. on Sunday, as reported by GeoNet. Although more than 37,000 people felt the quake, initial reports suggest no injuries or significant damage. The earthquake struck 25 kilometers west of Wellington at a depth of 30 km, and no tsunami warning was issued.
