💨 Abstract

At COP29, a UN report finds that while major corporations have increased their net-zero commitments by 23% since June 2023, most plans lack transparency, fossil fuel phase-outs, and just transition elements. The report urges stronger, more transparent climate commitments from businesses, cities, and financial institutions to prevent global warming beyond 1.5°C.
