💨 Abstract

A Pakistani anti-terrorism court sentenced seven individuals, including journalists and former military officials, to two life sentences each for their roles in the May 2023 riots following Imran Khan's arrest. The convicted, who were tried in absentia, were accused of inciting violence through digital platforms. They were also fined and given additional prison time for other charges. The convicts include YouTubers, journalists, and former army officials sympathetic to Khan.
