💨 Abstract
Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum is planning to propose three bills to Congress for implementing a comprehensive judicial reform. The reform intends to transition the country towards the direct election of all judges. The constitutional reform passed in September, supported by Sheinbaum's allies, includes the election of thousands of judges, including a reduced nine-member Supreme Court, within the next couple of years.
