💨 Abstract
Mexico's Senate unanimously passed a constitutional reform to annually revise the minimum wage to match inflation. Around 40% of Mexicans earn the minimum wage or less. The reform aims to secure a base for annual wage increases. President Claudia Sheinbaum has pledged 12% annual minimum wage increases. The reform will be sent to state legislatures for vote and is expected to pass in a majority of states.
