Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum announced on Friday that Mexico would send an immediate water delivery to Texas farmers, in response to U.S. President Donald Trump's threats of tariffs or sanctions over Mexico's failure to meet water delivery requirements under an 81-year-old treaty. Sheinbaum did not specify the quantity of water to be sent, and said alternatives to comply with the treaty would depend on water availability.
