💨 Abstract

Moldovan President Maia Sandu accused Russian gas giant Gazprom of causing an energy crisis in the Transdniestria pro-Russian separatist enclave, after it stopped receiving Russian gas following Ukraine's refusal to extend a gas transit agreement. Ukrainian and Moldovan authorities were blamed by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov for the heating and power shortages.
