Authorities in Moldova's separatist region Transdniestria have eased power restrictions after implementing energy conservation measures due to a halt in Russian gas supplies. Daily blackouts are being reduced from eight hours to three hours, but will be extended to five hours from Monday. Moldova's government accuses Russia of creating an energy crisis to destabilize the country ahead of this summer's parliamentary election.
