💨 Abstract

The Taleju Bhawani temple in Kathmandu, Nepal, is opened once a year on Maha Navami, a day considered as the final day to make sacrifices to Goddess Durga and her incarnations during Dashain. Devotees stood in long lines to worship, while he-goats, he-buffaloes, ducks, and roosters were sacrificed on an open square.
