đ¨ Abstract
The former sister-in-law of Pete Hegseth, Trump's nominee for Pentagon chief, has accused Hegseth of abusing his second ex-wife to the point of hiding in a closet and giving friends a code word for help. Hegseth denies the allegations, but a 2021 court filing mentioned no determination of physical abuse.
