💨 Abstract
A new case of Clade Ib mpox, a strain circulating in several African countries, has been detected in England in an individual who recently returned from Uganda. The risk to the wider population remains low, according to the UK Health Security Agency. The case is under specialist care at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust in London. This is the sixth case detected in England since October 2022.
