đź’¨ Abstract
Heavy floods and landslides in Nepal caused by intense rain since Friday have resulted in the death of 125 people, with 64 still missing and 61 injured. The Kathmandu Valley reported the highest number of deaths. Rescue operations are ongoing. Over 300 houses and 16 bridges have been damaged, leaving hundreds displaced. Experts attribute the floods to climate change and unplanned construction on floodplains.
