Military courts in Pakistan have granted pardons to 19 convicts involved in riots following the arrest of former Prime Minister Imran Khan. The convicts were granted pardons after filing mercy pleas and will be released after official formalities. The convicts were arrested during nationwide riots sparked by Khan's arrest, which took place on May 9, 2023, following a hearing in a corruption case.
