💨 Abstract

Pakistan's government has promoted Army Chief General Asim Munir to the rank of Field Marshal for his role in a recent conflict with India. The decision was made in a cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. General Munir is the second soldier in Pakistan's history to receive this rank, and the first since General Ayub Khan in 1959. Munir's promotion comes after holding top intelligence positions and leading the army with determination.
