In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, teachers of non-formal girls' schools have not been paid salaries for eight months, affecting the education of students. The schools are under the Elementary and Secondary Education Foundation (E&SEF), but the government has been reluctant to release funds needed to pay the teachers' salaries.
